SIU investigating Durham crash involving cop vehicle motorcycle
Article content The province’s Special Investigations Unit is probing a collision involving a Durham Regional Police Service vehicle and motorcycle that resulted in serious injuries on Sunday night in Clarington.
According to the SIU, preliminary information suggests that, at about 6:45 p.m., an officer in a police vehicle was involved in a crash with a motorcycle at the intersection of Green and Nash Rds.
A man who was operating the motorcycle, as well as a female passenger, was transported to a Toronto hospital with serious injuries.
The SIU is asking anyone who may have information about the investigation to call 1-800-787-8529. Anyone who might have video evidence related to the incident is asked to upload the video through the SIU website.
