Victoria records 507 cases and one death ahead of road map reveal
Victoria has recorded 507 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases and one person has died, ahead of the state government revealing its road map to ease restrictions once vaccination targets are reached.
There were 43,441 vaccination doses completed in Victoria on Saturday, with more than 58,600 COVID-19 test results returned. The state now has 5262 active cases of the virus.

The Department of Health did not detail how many of the locally acquired cases have been connected to the current outbreak.
Premier Daniel Andrews is expected to announce Victoriaâs path out of lockdowns on Sunday, in line with the nationally agreed targets of 70 and 80 per cent double dose vaccination coverage. The former is expected in mid to late October, while the latter is slated to occur in November.
Details of Victoriaâs road map were still being debated late into the evening by cabinet ministers and the stateâs public health team.
Senior education sources told The Sunday Age that Deputy Premier James Merlino had repeatedly voiced his view that schools should reopen for term 4 in Melbourne after prep, year 1, year 2 and year 12 students returned in regional Victoria last week.
A minor easing of travel restrictions and hospitality rules are expected at the 70 per cent double dose target for Victoria.
Government sources said they expected Victoriaâs plan to be more conservative than that of NSW, where pubs and restaurants will reopen and five visitors will be allowed in the home once the 70 per cent double dose target is achieved.
There are now more than 760 exposure sites across Victoria, with the latest tier-1 sites at a Tarneit school, a Braybrook auto wreckers and a Docklands childcare centre.
Braybrook Autowreckers was visited by a person with COVID-19 on Wednesday - anyone who visited the premises during the potential exposure is expected to isolate for 14 days and get tested.
Tarneit Rise Primary School was listed as tier-1 on September 13, along with Great Beginnings Reservoir September 10 and Kids House Early Learning in Cheltenham on September 16.
