New Bolton wellbeing service is fully booked after one month

A WELLBEING service launched by two Bolton friends last month has gone from strength to strength with counselling sessions being booked up until October.

As the pandemic has taken its toll on mental health, more people are seeking ways to improve their wellbeing.

Bolton University graduates Jeanette McGuffie and Stacey Withington set up their company - Beyoutiful Reflections - on International Self Care Day on July 24.

They came up with the idea for the service several years ago while sharing a cup of tea together and wanted to promote the use of positive psychological concepts.

Since then they've had a huge response to the service - and they've even been approached by a Canadian TV network which focuses on entrepreneurs.

Stacey said: "We've had great feedback so far, our sessions are already booked up and we are planning on running workshops with local schools.

"We've done work with Bolton FM in promoting the service and we were contacted by a TV network called Odyssey to film something with them which is very exciting.

"Our aim is to help people focus on the positives and what their strengths are, rather than their weaknesses.

"I think during Covid people have forgotten what they are good at and it's important that you can recognise your strengths.

"At the moment we're still running the service from home but we are looking to set up our own office soon."
